Duo multi-factor authentication update – new appearance for notifications
Starting March 15, Enterprise Technology will begin rolling out updates to the Duo multi-factor authentication notifications as seen when users log into ASU online web services. These changes are being rolled out incrementally across our systems over the next few weeks, concluding on March 30.
Below is an example of the new two-factor authentication screen and experience vs. what was shown previously:
Though many phishing attempts may utilize a slightly modified version of a given notification in order to spoof the identity of a trusted sender, this design change is legitimate. If you receive this authentication screen, you may continue as usual by approving or disapproving the login attempt with your mobile device
