Student-led programs engage the ASU community in the rich cultures, traditions, music, crafts and dance represented in our student experiences. Learn more about Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month at ASU here.

A Message from the Asian/Asian Pacific American Students' Coalition (AAPASC)

Join AAPASC as we prepare for this year’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM) in recognition of the AAPI community’s contribution and influence on the history of the United States. In collaboration with multiple student organizations, we’re working to fight against the racial prejudice that has been prevailing throughout history and current media.

Prepare to indulge in engaging events ranging from workshops, movie nights, special musical performers and much more. Keep up-to-date with our AAPIHM calendar here! This year’s My ASU background package includes original artwork from student Chloe Hom and Sabrina Liu. Make sure to keep an eye out for our first AAPIHM welcome graphic, now available on Instagram: @aapasc.asu.

Earth Month Backgrounds Added

Celebrate Earth Month with a new virtual background, now available, as well as the return of the 2020 design. This year’s new background is brought to you by contest winner Erin Agius.

Earth Month at ASU

51 years ago, on April 22, 1970, the first Earth Day took place with the participation of 20 million Americans. This was the catalyst for environmental action across the United States and eventually worldwide. At ASU, we know that a single day isn’t enough. Join us in celebrating our collective successes and innovative solutions for a sustainable future. At Arizona State University, every day is Earth Day. Learn more about Earth Day at ASU here.

Indigenous Culture Week Backgrounds Added

In honor of Indigenous Culture Week, three new virtual backgrounds are now available on My ASU. These designs are brought to you by the Indigenous Culture Week Committee's Daphne Leonard, Gabriel Garcia and Miyana Manus.

Arizona State University is located on the ancestral homeland of the O’odham and Piipaash people. As part of Turtle Island (North and South America), Indigenous Culture Week seeks to celebrate the Indigenous people of this land and promote the Indigenous voices around the world. The goal is to bring our community together to educate, celebrate and share ideas, values and traditions across all four campuses. Learn more about Indigenous Culture Week at ASU here.

A Message from the Indigenous Culture Week Committee

The Indigenous Culture Week committee invites you to join us in a week dedicated to the theme “Being a good relative”. Events throughout the week create a space for allyship through advocating and educating the ASU community as a whole. We honor traditions, teachings, and the Indigenous way of life throughout the world through events available both virtual and in person. Be sure to stay up to date by following our Instagram: @asu.icw. To view events taking place throughout the week please visit the Indigenous Culture Week events calendar.

Pride Week at ASU celebrates LGBTQIA+ identities and educates the ASU community on the experience of this community. Through diverse programming and providing services to students, the week advocates for social justice concerns while connecting students, faculty, and staff to each other and the broader ASU community.

Pride Week at ASU

A Message from the Women’s Coalition

On behalf of the ASU Women’s Coalition, the HERstory Committee and more than 30 student organizations and departments across all four campuses and ASU Online, we welcome you to the 2021 ASU Women’s HERstory Month. Over the past several months, we have collaborated with a multitude of organizations and departments to bring you a month like no other. With events ranging from Watch Parties to learning about Womanism, we know this year’s Women’s HERstory month will be one of a kind!

This year’s HERstory month promises to be even bigger and we can’t wait to celebrate what it means to be a woman with all of you. In collaboration with ASU Athletics, USGs, faculty organizations and many more ASU partners, more than 65 events will be hosted virtually, in hybrid settings and in-person. To end our month, WoCo's signature event of the year, the Badass Women’s March, will take the place of the annual Badass Block Party. With one Women's March per campus, we hope you'll join us in highlighting the inspirational women at ASU, and uplift the voices of those that have been historically oppressed. We can’t wait for you to see all of the amazing things we have planned. Go Devils!
