What is Badgr?

Badgr is a suite of digital credentialing tools used to create, award and store digital badges (also called micro-credentials, digital credentials, etc.)

Check out Badgr's Glossary of Terms to learn all the key terms identifying a Badgr digital credential. Frequently used terms include:

  • Badge - as mentioned above, an award that indicates an accomplishment or skill that can be displayed, accessed and verified online

  • Issuer - account/individual/organization awarding badges

  • Earner - account/individual receiving badges from completed tasks

Why Badgr?

Digital badges allow learners to be rewarded for their skills and accomplishments. They can share these badges on social media websites such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook to display their achievements to future employers. View all of the current badges available to ASU learners here.
