Hacks for Humanity Welcomes Everyone to Work Together for Social Good

"Hackathons" are coding marathons to develop products from quick ideas and brainstorming, but the upcoming Project Humanities event Hacks for Humanity (which is open to the public) won't require extensive technological knowledge for participants to work together for social good. The 36-hour hackathon welcomes artists, coders, app makers, designers, engineers, entrepreneurs, humanists, activists, generalists, and more. People of all age groups are welcomed to work with mentors and workshop groups to have fun while addressing local and global issues. There are even prizes involved, including products from Apple, Fitbit, and Tuft and Needle, in addition to festival and movie tickets, gift certificates, and more.
