Alexa is the voice service and the brain behind millions of devices like the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Show. Alexa provides capabilities, or skills, that enable customers to create a more personalized experience. The ASU Alexa skill is a new way to find out information about Arizona State University by using your voice. Anyone with an Alexa device can access the ASU skill including students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
You can use the skill to find out about ASU events to attend, business hours for popular ASU businesses and buildings, frequently asked academic calendar dates or random ASU facts. You can even ask Alexa to play the ASU fight song! Get information about events like football games, shows at Gammage, or concerts. You can ask for business hours for places like the Hayden library or the Sun Devil Fitness Complex (SFDC). Find out when finals start: “Alexa, ask ASU when are finals?”, or learn a new interesting fact about ASU: “Alexa, ask ASU to tell me a fact”.
This is the first version of the ASU skill. We want to hear what you think and most importantly, the features you’d like us to build next. You can leave feedback at uto.asu.edu/ask-asu/feedback.
