Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Certification

Requirements Overview:

  • High School Diploma
  • 23 Education Hours needed
  • No project experience needed

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Requirements Overview:

  • High school diploma or associate’s degree (or global equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 35 hours of project management education training or CAPM® Certification
  • 60 months experience leading projects (with a high school diploma or associate’s degree)
  • 36 months experience leading projects (with a four-year degree)
  • 24 months experience if you’re a graduate of a GAC program

The ASU PM Network’s PMBOK team is dedicated to providing support and guidance to the ASU Community who are interested in pursuing their CAPM or PMP certification.

This team hosts information sessions about the CAPM / PMP application process along with information on resources for obtaining the required education hours to prepare for applying to take the exam. Please reach out to pmnetwork@asu.edu if you have any questions.
