New Team Members in Systems & Security
The UTO Systems & Security team would like to welcome their new team members:
Milton Nelson joined the Web Systems Team in December. Milton started working for Microsoft at age 19. He later moved to GoDaddy where he started learning about the web industry. He also spent 6 years in Los Angeles working for Media Temple. Over the course of his career, he has acquired skills in desktop support, data center operations, web hosting support, and server security.
Phil Stephens joined the Web Systems Team in December. Phil brings with him a skillset developed in the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning at ASU over the last 5 years, where he provided infrastructure support for the PySAL library, ran Drupal sites the SOD environment, established a Mac OS Deploy Studio system imaging solution for SGSUP labs, set up and ran a VMware box with Windows and Debian hosts, and provided deskside support to faculty, staff, and graduate students, among many other things. Prior to working at ASU, he earned his MS (Geographic Information Science) at San Diego State University.
Jared Hills joined the Web Systems team in January. Jared has been in the IT field for 13 years in many positions for call center tech support for DSL, Modem, Router, cable TV and telephone support with two of the largest providers in the country to Lead Desktop Support roles and then transitioning into a Systems Administrator roles for over 11 years in several companies. He has touched a wide array of technologies and versions in his career from Windows NT 4 and Exchange 5.5 to MS Server 2012 R2, VMware and Hyper-V (2008R2 – 2012R2), storage systems, networking, firewalls, and SQL databases.
