LER Open House with ASU’s Trusted Learner Network
Connect, collaborate and continue the credential conversation
Join the Trusted Learner Network (TLN) community after the 1EdTech Consortium’s Digital Credentials Summit for our first-ever LER Open House on Wednesday, March 5, when the credential conversations will continue and connections will deepen.
We’ll gather at the Global Forum at Arizona State University (ASU)'s Thunderbird School of Global Management – just a five-minute walk from the Digital Credentials Summit – to debrief on lessons learned, make powerful connections that extend beyond the summit and engage in hands-on activities to explore how we continue to move this work forward.
One of the highlights of this event will be an immersive networking and storytelling workshop, in which we’ll invite participants to dig deep into their past to better understand their future. This interactive session will challenge the traditional notions of success by emphasizing the importance of storytelling and resilience, serving as a reminder that credentials are not just markers of success; they are symbols of value that reflect our journey.
So, bring your stories, your enthusiasm and even your luggage, to join us for a fun and insightful afternoon with colleagues from across the field!

Head on over to Thunderbird Global Forum with your luggage to meet with colleagues and enjoy light refreshments. Use this time to spark conversations and expand your network.
1:15 p.m. | Welcome with Kate Giovacchini, Executive Director, TLN and ASU Pocket
Join us for a brief introduction and open house welcome, setting the stage for an engaging and insightful event.
1:30 p.m. | ASU LER Ecosystem Showcase
ASU digital credential practitioners will be set up at ecosystem stations to talk shop and swap stories around digital badging, portfolio technologies, the Trusted Learner Network and ASU Pocket. See a live demo and connect with others on the ecosystem technologies you're thinking about.
2:00 p.m. | Activity: The inherent value of credentials to tell learner stories
Turn your chairs to engage in a discussion panel with your colleagues and neighbors as the TLN team leads an exploration into the power of credentials to shape personal and professional narratives.
2:45 p.m. | Mix and mingle
Find your favorite conversation or start one of your own as we leave the Open House open for connections, snacks and showcase time.
3:45 p.m. | Closing
Wrap up the day with final reflections and key takeaways, leaving you inspired and informed to take the next steps to advance the LER ecosystem.

The Trusted Learner Network planning team highly encourages using alternative transportation such as carpooling and utilizing the Valley Metro Light Rail.
Parking is available at the following ASU lots:
- University Center Garage: 401 N. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ
- UCII / Cronkite Parking Lot: 555 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ
- ASU cross parking can be utilized at the 4th Avenue/Perimeter Lot: N 4th Ave, near W Van Buren St.
