ASU transitioning to Zoom Phone
To align with the university’s goals of accessibility, flexibility and agility, ASU has adopted an enterprise-wide solution for voice communication – Zoom Phone.
This service allows your ASU directory number to be delivered to your mobile device or computer using the Zoom application that is already downloaded by the majority of the ASU community for Zoom video conferencing.
With the Zoom phone icon living in your Zoom app, you can make and receive calls conveniently with your ASU phone number on either a desktop/laptop or mobile device.
Zoom Phone is now an available catalog item within ServiceNow. To begin utilizing Zoom Phone, please submit a ticket. You will receive an email when your Zoom Phone access has been successfully provisioned. After receiving the confirmation email, simply log out and log back into your Zoom client – you will then see the Zoom phone icon on your dashboard. It's as easy as that!
Existing ASU One Number accounts will be supported until your building is selected for full migration to ZOOM phone, following which, support of existing One Number accounts will end. As such, we strongly encourage faculty and staff to explore all this reliable, secure tool has to offer, acclimating themselves to its convenient features as soon as possible.
