Topic: Digital Civics and Citizenship 

Digital Civics and Citizenship is a field of slowly growing interest in the IT and Educational fields.  This session will explore how institutions of higher education can cultivate a civil community of digital citizens.
Dr. Ara Austin is a "life-time" Sun-Devil, who received her BS in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Chemistry all from ASU. She is now a Clinical Assistant Professor at ASU working specifically for the School of Molecular Sciences.
Alycia Anderson is the VP of Sales for an award-winning technology company Knock CRM a leader in the multifamily real estate industry. Alycia is a tennis player, cyclist, an identical twin and wheelchair-bound since birth. Born with sacral agenesis, Alycia is on a mission to motivate through the power of diversity and inclusion.

Jess K. Alberts, President’s Professor of Communication was Director of the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University for nine years. In 2007 she was named President’s Professor in honor of her contributions to undergraduate teaching as well as the Herberger Professor in Communication. She earned her doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin.
