Accurately assigning priorities is crucial for triggering appropriate Incident escalations based on the escalation guidelines.

Technology Change Freeze

ASU Technology implements an Enterprise-wide technology change freeze during the start and end of each semester to prevent significant disruptions to its customers due to increased traffic and use of IT services. Requests for production changes will be postponed during the freeze, but exceptions may be granted with additional manager review and final approval. Activities such as work in unoccupied buildings, infrastructure support, and content-only pushes for websites are exempted from the freeze. However, emergency change requests must still be submitted and approved for tracking purposes. Exceptions to the freeze require an emergency change request to be submitted and approved by Enterprise Technology Executive Director of Operations and the Emergency Change Advisory Board.
