ASU Enterprise Technology Creative and Communications wins five prestigious public relations awards
The Creative and Communications team at Arizona State University Enterprise Technology took home five coveted pieces of hardware Thursday night at the 2024 Copper Anvil Awards.
The team of storytellers, strategic communications experts, graphic designers and creative content producers earned three Copper Anvils–the highest honor given to public relations tactics and campaigns in Arizona–and two Awards of Merit, which is the next-highest honor.
Executive director Tina Miller praised her department's efforts in winning the prestigious accolades and said it reflects a commitment to a specific purpose.
“I’m incredibly proud of our team for winning the Copper Anvil awards,” she said. “This recognition is a testament to our hard work and dedication in telling the human-centered side of technology. Through our stories, we strive to connect people with the innovations that impact their lives. And it’s not just about technology. We work tirelessly through the ASU charter to ensure that every voice is heard and every perspective is valued so that our storytelling reflects the diversity and inclusivity at the heart of everything we do.”
The Creative and Communications team won Copper Anvils for its special event coverage surrounding ASU’s 2024 Smart Region Summit, its video series, “Carpool Convos” and its annual report, “ASU Enterprise Technology’s Year in Review.” The team earned Awards of Merit for designing the university’s AI website and for the integrated communications efforts of the AI Innovation Challenge.
The seven-woman department of creatives, including director of communications Corinna Busciglio Kamilli, director of communications Annie Davis, senior communications specialist Sophie Jones, senior communications specialist Alisha Mendez, graphic design specialist Hyde Groat and content strategist Stephanie King said these results are also a tribute to the support from the other teams within ASU Enterprise Technology.
“The Copper Anvil Awards were a career highlight,” Busciglio Kamilli said. These awards would not have been possible without the dedication, creativity, and immense talent of our Enterprise Technology colleagues.”
