In this special episode of Carpool Convos with ASU, Deputy CIO Kimberly Clark is taking over as host, welcoming Sylvia Acevedo to talk about her newly released book: The Trailblazer’s Playbook.
While riding around Tempe in Waymo’s autonomous vehicle, Acevedo reflects on her childhood, her approach to turning “no” into opportunities, and how these experiences shaped her into a scientist, engineer, and ultimately the CEO of Girl Scouts – all of which are part of her new book.
In the Playbook, Acevedo chronicles the most pivotal moments of her life; however, she notes, “It’s not just a memoir,” Acevedo said. “I didn’t write it to tell my story, I wrote it to help people tell their story.”
