Google Workspace restructuring

Staff, Faculty and Retired Employees

Google has recently implemented a storage cap across the institution for all business and education Google Workspaces, which will affect your usage.

Faculty and staff will maintain access to Google Workspace and may continue to leverage its many convenient features, but as a member of faculty and staff, your storage will be limited to 20 GB.

Individual storage must be reduced to the allotted GB or lesser. Excess data will be subject to deletion on May 29, 2023. Community members who are over-quota after this date can still access their Workspace, however, additional data will not be accepted.

Per ASU Academic Affairs Manual - ADC 125, ASU’s Computing Resources should be used for academic, research, or university purposes. To reduce the number of files exceeding your allotted 20 GB, we encourage you to first ensure any personal, recreational, non-academic or work-related files are moved to a non-ASU storage solution.
