The Maricopa Association of Governments Technical Advisory Group was formed in 1994 to encourage the development of telecommunication infrastructure and applications software, which increases government efficiency, improves access to public information, and expedites delivery of local government services in Maricopa and Pinal Counties. As part of the Smart Region Summit, the Committee agenda will focus on Smart Cities.
The MAG Management Committee is responsible for receiving input from technical committees, analyzing the technical and policy implications, and providing recommendations to the MAG Regional Council. The Management Committee consists of the chief administrators from each city/town and Native Nation in the MAG region, as well as Maricopa and Pinal Counties.
